If you're looking for a peaceful yet varied bike tour, the route from Oberkirchen via Winkhausen along the Lenne is particularly worthwhile.

The route largely follows the Lenne Valley – accompanied by the river, passing meadows, small villages, and offering expansive views of the landscape. This particular section is pleasant to ride and ideal for a relaxed tour, even with an e-bike.

Along the way, you'll encounter the "Lenne-Schiene" (Lenne Rail Trail), which is part of the well-known Lenne Route and takes you through one of the most beautiful river landscapes in the Sauerland. The route is well-maintained and combines a nature experience with a smooth, peaceful ride.

If you wish to extend your tour, the SauerlandRadring (Sauerland Cycle Ring) is an excellent option. This route partly follows old railway lines and covers about 80 kilometers through forests, valleys, and small villages – ideal for longer day trips or varied circular tours.

For me, this combination is particularly appealing: flat, relaxed sections along the Lenne and the option to join other routes at any time.
