If you're looking for a nice break during your journey, I wholeheartedly recommend the Hoheleyer Hütte.

It's located directly on the Rothaarsteig, making it an ideal spot for a short break during a hike or bike tour. Its elevated position creates a special atmosphere – peaceful, open, and truly close to nature.

Inside the hut, you'll find a cozy, rustic atmosphere with regional dishes, homemade cake, and a sunny terrace. Especially after a few kilometers outdoors, the food tastes particularly good here, and you often end up staying a little longer than planned.

For me, the Hoheleyer Hütte is one of those places you love to stop at – uncomplicated, welcoming, and just right for a break.
