If you'd like to try cross-country skiing at your own pace, I recommend the "Auf der Steinert" area.

Just a few minutes from us, this small but very beautiful cross-country skiing area is located at a snow-sure altitude. The trails are well-laid out, well-groomed, and particularly well-suited for beginners or anyone who wants to take it a bit easier.

What I particularly like about it is the atmosphere. It's often a bit quieter than in the larger centers, and you quickly find your own rhythm. At the same time, there's a connection to larger trail networks like the Rothaarloipe, so you can flexibly extend your tour.

The on-site ski hut also makes the excursion pleasantly straightforward – a good starting point and a nice spot for a short break.

A wonderful place to experience winter actively yet relaxedly.
